Ordering & delivery
What is the minimum order quantity?
Our straws are available from 100 pieces, with steps up to 500, 2,500 and 5,000 pieces. Need a different quantity? Request a custom quote.
How long does delivery take?
Within our delivery area we deliver in 2 to 5 working days. Need it urgently? Contact us at info@strooikes.be.
Do you deliver outside Belgium?
Yes, we deliver across the whole Benelux as standard. Other regions can be looked at on request.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping is free for orders over €50. For smaller orders, shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Contact us as soon as possible at info@strooikes.be. We'll try to make changes as long as the order hasn't shipped.
Products
What are your straws made of?
We offer two materials: wheat straws (100% wheat stems) and rice straws (rice, corn starch and natural food colouring).
Are the straws compostable?
Yes, all our straws are 100% compostable.
Can I use the straws in hot drinks?
We don't recommend our rice straws for hot drinks. Wheat straws are better suited.
Which lengths and diameters are available?
Wheat straws come in 15 cm, 20 cm and 23 cm with a diameter of 3 to 5 mm. Rice straws come in 15 cm and 20 cm with a 6 mm diameter, plus an extra-wide 20 cm Jumbo version with an 8 mm diameter.
Invoicing & B2B
Can I add my VAT number to my order?
Yes, you can enter your VAT number on the cart page, before checkout.
What VAT rate applies to your products?
Wheat straws are subject to 21% VAT, rice straws to 6%.
I'm a wholesaler or hospitality group: do you offer special terms?
Certainly. Get in touch through our quote request for large quantities or a tailored partnership.
Do I get an invoice with my order?
Yes, every order is invoiced, with your VAT number if provided.
Samples
Can I request samples first?
Of course: through our samples page you can request a free sample pack.
Are the samples free?
Yes, completely free and without obligation.
How long before I receive my samples?
The same as our normal delivery time: 2 to 5 working days.
Sustainability & impact
Are your straws really sustainable?
Our straws are 100% natural and compostable. We also work with Natuurpunt Vlaanderen on reforestation projects, and have supported initiatives against litter.
What does Strooikes do for the environment, besides selling straws?
We work with Natuurpunt Vlaanderen on 700 ha of new forest in Flanders. We also took part in a bin pilot project with City-Ants and organised a clean-up with River Cleanup Antwerp.
Are these projects still running?
Our partnership with Natuurpunt Vlaanderen is still ongoing. The other initiatives were one-off actions we plan to repeat.
